Saturday, June 13……… Summer Reading Program begins. Online registration link will be available for all ages.

Summer Reading Kick-Off Festival
Join us for the biggest event of the year our Summer Reading Fun Fest on Saturday, June 13 from 10 a.m. – 1 p.m. as we kick-off summer with a festival. Enjoy carnival games, creative crafts, photos with your favorite characters, and fun activities for everyone!
Salute to Summer
Celebrate the end of Summer Reading on Saturday, August 1 from 11:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. with fun for the whole family! Play lawn games outside, enjoy fun crafts and activities for kids in the Library Community Room, teens can get crafty in the Teen Loft, and adults can enjoy a special DIY activity in the DIY room.

How It Works
Register online beginning June 13.
Log your reading online. For every four (4) hours read and logged online, earn prizes and be automatically entered into a raffle. Raffle prizes will be awarded at the end of summer!

Love to read? Keep logging to earn more chances for a raffle prize.
Kids Rules
Participants must be between the ages of 0 and 12. Older participants can register for the Teen (ages 13-17) or Adult (18+) Reading Program.
Registration begins Saturday, June 13. Last day to collect earned prizes is Saturday, August 1, 2026 at 4:45 p.m.
Time spent reading or listening to library books between Saturday, June 13 – Saturday, August 1 may be logged online. Books read prior to June 13, 2026, may not be applied to the reading program.
Reading must be logged online to earn prizes and enter the raffle.
Prizes
Prizes include a selection of items such as an activity book, fidget toy, bouncy ball, book, mini beach ball, sunglasses, scratch & sniff bookmark, stickers, and a variety of certificates.
Raffle prizes include items such as tickets to local attractions, large toys, science and art kits, as well as a fun variety of trinkets. Two lucky winners will win an iPad!

How it Works
Register online beginning June 13.
Log your reading online. For the first eight (8) books read, you will receive one (1) grand prize raffle ticket for each book logged (for a total of eight (8) raffle tickets). Plus, each raffle ticket also enters you into a Weekly Prize Drawing. Already read eight (8) books and want to go above and beyond? Continue to log your books read and for every book logged, you will receive an additional grand prize raffle ticket to claim. Collect raffle tickets for up to 50 books.A $2 Friends of the Yorba Linda Public Library gift certificate will be awarded after logging eight books read.
Extra grand prize raffle tickets can be earned through completing the activities badge. Complete three activities to receive this badge and earn three extra grand prize raffle tickets.
Teen Rules
Participants must be 13 -17 years of age or older, and not registered for other Yorba Linda Public Library Summer Reading Programs.
Registration begins Saturday, June 13. All reading and grand prize raffle tickets must be logged before 11:59 p.m. on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
All grand prize raffle tickets turned in must include the title of the book read.
Books read from Saturday, June 13 – Saturday, August 1 may be counted toward reading goals. Books read prior to June 13, 2026 may not be applied to the reading program.
